Plans to begin construction of a large-scale Tasmanian devil breeding facility in the Barrington Tops of NSW have been announced today, by owner of the Australian Reptile Park, John Weigel AM. The Australian Reptile Park in Somersby NSW has teamed up with leading conservation organisation the Foundation for Australia’s Most Endangered Species (FAME) to develop Devil Ark - one of the most ambitious endangered species breeding programs ever undertaken in Australia. It's all go at the Reptile Park! Endangered Species Month is off and running and there are some really cool animals included in the new Endangered Species Show. Yesterday, they brought out a very cool alligator snapping tortoise! Today's show featured Archie, the tiny koala, who was orphaned a little while ago but w...ith the help of his new mum Hayley, is growing and has a great chance of survival.
